As Montessorians, we are taught to see the whole child. At DMTEP, we offer a training experience which considers the whole adult. Our program is designed with respect for the needs of our Adult Learners in an environment where an open-minded approach is valued. We invite you to join us on a journey of discovery and growth.

Our teacher education program is built on the very tenets of Maria Montessori's original work. With her philosophy as our guide, we consider current research in child development. We challenge our adult learners to observe, analyze and discover effective tools for learning and teaching.

We are fortunate to utilize Amelia Island Montessori School's beautiful classrooms and grounds as the backdrop for our coursework.

Curriculum

The core curriculum includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Physical and Life Science, Social Studies and Classroom Leadership.
