  • We are seeking a part-time Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals in our After School Program. The Assistant will work with another assistant in maintaining a quality educational environment while following the Montessori philosophy.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Supervising and guiding children and supporting daily activities together with other members of the After School Team
    • Setting an example for children by modeling honesty, respect, kindness and understanding
    • Maintaining the safety and well-being of children in the classroom by providing a safe and prepared environment
    • Fully participating in and collaborating with AIMS team members and Administration in furtherance of the School's mission
    • Engaging in clear, respectful and effective communication with children, parents, team members and administrators
    • Accepting all other duties assigned by the Head of School in furtherance of the mission of the School, and in support of the day-to-day operations required to deliver AIMS programs


    • DCF childcare training completed (or willingness to begin training upon hire)
    • Successfully complete pre-employment background check, TB test, etc.
    • Successfully complete CPR and First Aid course


    • Salary is competitive and based on experience, education and certification
