Summer Camp 2017
Amelia Island Montessori School Summer Camp will feature an Island of fun! Throughout the summer, campers will explore, build, play sports, garden, make crafts, cook, conduct experiments, take excursions to the beach, and enjoy two or more fun, theme-related field trips each week.
We are offering three unique camps specifically designed for Toddler, Primary, and Elementary campers. Campers will experience six weeks of playing and learning about animals, ocean life, planets, space, art techniques, science, inventions, dance, music, sports, cooking, and much more. Two field trips a week (Primary and Elementary campers only) along with a wide variety of exciting activities make Island Fun Summer Camp a unique, memorable experience.
Planned field trips include the Jacksonville Zoo, Omni Nature Center, Jacksonville Museum of Science and History, Little Talbot Island, Pirates Playground, and more. Our camp is staffed with educators from Amelia Island Montessori School who encourage our campers’ creativity and individuality while providing guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.
Children from 18 months to 3 years old will enjoy a summer filled with fun and creative expression in a safe, nurturing environment. Activities include arts and crafts, singing, dancing, dramatic play, and gardening. Our younger campers take an afternoon rest.
Our Primary Camp is designed for ages 3 years (PreK-1) to Kindergarten. Campers will love the daily variety of adventures, sports, nature projects, cooking, and crafts plus two field trips every week.
Campers in Grades 1 to 5 will enjoy in-depth activities and projects. Unique culinary presentations, advanced arts and crafts, and fun field trips enhance learning experiences for our older campers.
