Debbie Hodsdon


B.A., Virginia Intermont College w/ emphasis on Education, Notrh Carolina Center for Montessori Teacher Education, Lower and Upper Elementary Montessori Certification.

Debbie comes to AIMS with over 30 years of teaching experience, the last fourteen of which have been in Montessori education. Along with her degree and Montessori credentials, a portion of her experience was spent in a special education program where she worked with children with learning differences in the area of math, reading and language.

Dee Dee Neal


B.S., Behavioral Science, Georgia Military College. B.S., Interdisciplinary Studies, Western Governor's University. Toddler and Primary Montessori Certifications, North American Montessori Center. Lower and Upper Elementary Montessori Certification, Seacoast Montessori Training Center. Teacher Certiicate PK - Sixth Grades.

Ms. DeeDee is a nature and animal lover who can often be found outside or reading. Her favorite part of the day is mid-morning when lessons have begun and students are focused, eager, and learning.

DeeDee was drawn to Montessori while she was working in social work. She referred some families to a Montessori school to help a child. She was fascinated by the style of learning and quickly secured a job as a Montessori assistant and never looked back!!

DeeDee is married to Mike and has a wonderful stepdaughter, Chloe. They have four dogs, a cat, a bird, several turtles and whatever else is nearby! This is what leads her to have all sorts of animals in the classroom and the children learn to take care of them. With her love of animals and guidance, they do a great job!

Harsha Patel


Modern Tutorial College, London, UK

Harsha comes to AIMS from the hospitality industry, where she worked as an owner/operator for Comfort Suites. She has also managed payroll at companies in the US and the UK. She joined AIMS in the Summer of 2011 and has quickly become a friendly and familiar face to our families.

She enjoys the famiy atmosphere with our staff and families, and lives in Fernandina with her husband, Manual.

Linda Sue Waldo

Admistrative Assistant

B.A., Jones College

Linda Sue manages the administrative offiice and is the assistant to the Head of School. AIMS is a place where she feels at home because she enjoys the environment and how the school staff and parents are like one big family.

She absolutely loves the mornings because they lend to stopping and chatting with the children.

Married to David for 35 years, Linda is the mother of three and grandmother to eight beautiful grandchildren.

Victoria Smith


Fort Hays State University, BA or Arts, RIEI Certification, Resources for Infant Educarers, currently enrolled in West Florida University

When her three daughters were young, Victoria lived in Charleston, SC, where she learned about Montessori and was immediately drawn to the curriculum and the philosophy. She believes Maria Montessori has given society the great gift of many ever-growing learners. She enjoys living in this beautiful part of Florida and especially enjoys being near the ocean and everything it has to offer.
